We’ve mentioned it everywhere else, but we’re partnering with Farmland Jazz Band for downtown Fort Wayne’s Buskerfest. It’s this Saturday, June 28. We’re on at 4:00pm. This will be our fourth time playing it (the first was unofficial), but only our second time ever playing with the whole works: trumpet, clarinet, trombone. Even a tuba this time.
Here are Lyndsy and I discovering that “When The Saints Go Marching In” has more verses than most folks have ever heard.
Lyndsy and Bart were interviewed shortly after Fort Wayne’s Buskerfest by Laura Rosenbaum for Culture Club. Lyndsy had a lot to say about why busking is important.
We had a lot of fun performing for Downtown Fort Wayne’s Fright Night as part of the zombie walk. Thanks to DID for inviting us and big props to our Indianapolis friend Tanya for driving up and daring to swallow fire on the wobbily float!
Everyone in the walk looked fantastic. There’s some real (creepy) creativity running through this town! Here’s a video of some lovely zombies via WANE News Channel 15.
After two years of staking claim to a sidewalk to play Buskerfest unofficially, we’ve been invited to play A Taste of the Arts at the newly renamed Busker Square.
We’re playing the Freimann Square stage at 6pm, Saturday August 27. It will be fun to sing “Summer Song” that day, where we mention Freimann Square and other downtown locations. We love Fort Wayne, and this day sounds like it will be a wonderful celebration of local arts.
It’s official, ladies and gentlemen: End Times will play the Roots & Rhythm festival at Headwaters Park (Ft Wayne) in July. Joining us will be Creole Stomp, Urban Legend, Huckleberry Blue. and our good friends Kenny and Patrick as Deuce. Should be fun times. We’ll let you know when tickets become available.
