Benefit on Sat Nov 14
If you didn’t know, Lyndsy Rae has been hard at work organizing relief efforts for several orphanages in Burkina Faso, where she spent part of the summer. Not long after she left, the area around Ouagadougou where she stayed was hit by a flood. The region has clean water issues during the best of times, but the flood has hit the orphanages of the region pretty heavily. The money is expected to go toward repairing damage, assuring the health of the children, and providing education with what remains.
The live music will happen on Saturday, November 14 at Pint and Slice beginning around 8:00pm. We’ll be joined by The Bergamot (a folky duo we enjoy) and House of Bread (indie/electro that you may have seen with us at the Dash).
All this week artwork will be on display upstairs. Portions of each piece sold will go to the orphanages.
